Boro fans get a grip

Stop knee jerk reactions all the time & expect instant success. Whoever we get it won't be good enough for you. Sad day, happy retirement Warnock.
Btw we've got no money & team hasn't been good enough 4 years.
Hope it works out 4 the next manager & team, but we've got to have some patience. UTB
Your call for patience is spot on but let's not dress up Warnock's departure as being caused by the fans turning against him and the team. Whilst there may have been dissenting voices on here, it's a football forum, was it ever thus. That didn't reflect in the crowd in the ground where it really counts. There may have been a collective sigh/groan at the end of the Birmingham game but not the tide swell of boos we've heard before. The crowd was miles way from turning against NW.

It really wasn’t.

I think it was the right time to go, although I’m not impressed with how the club went about things. Another few weeks of inconsistency, really poor performances losing to everyone apart from the bottom half a dozen teams would have seen more and more fans turn and the atmosphere get nasty, so I‘m glad it didn’t get to that stage as it would be an awful way for the bloke to end his great career, assuming he does hang his track suit up.

If it was me I’d have sacked him at Luton as I’ve never seen a boro side that bad for years they really could have scored 7 that night.

Let’s just airbrush the form from January shall we? Some right sentimental clap trap about the whole episode.
There's no sentimentality on my part, I support the Boro not Neil Warnock. I'm simply pointing out there was no groundswell of anti Warnock opinion in the match day crowd. As for form since January that's quite irrelevant to a sizeable chunk of the crowd in the stadium because they haven't kept in touch with planet Boro during the lock out. The lad I go with never watched a single game so the start of this season is a clean slate for many. The discussion here is about the general feeling in the crowd not your narrow agenda, try and stay on track lads.🙂

Just heard Warnocks interview after the match. Good on him for taking the team yesterday.
Be interesting to see how Wilder does, another Blade !!!! Fans , be patient. UTB

Agreed beating peterboro (only just), Barnsley and Cardiff just delayed the decision/papered over the cracks. It didnt take long for normal service to resume
What you mean like a point away from home against the team in 3rd decimated by injury and suspensions ? Normal service ? Ridiculous 🙄

There was no groundswell against Warnock at the Riverside as the vast majority realized he was doing a great job in difficult circumstances...
The only groundswell was on social media and places like this where most posters don't actually attend games...

Yeah Normal service. Massively inconsistent.

That's what frustrates me most about the team. Great we showed up against a side at the top of the table and got a decent point.
F'king pointless when you lose the two games previous where you commit dumb errors and lose games you were full capable of getting something out and look liked doing so for 45 minutes.

Well there is that I suppose 😉

The feeling I got was that there were some posters who seemed to dislike Neil Warnock for non football reasons, or just because he was an older manager, or they just didn't like his extrovert personality, which I thought was unfair. To me the most important think is results first and performances second (e.g goal attempts etc), Considering the resources and availability of player he had - he did reasonably well on that.

He did very well on that 👍

I think it's largely because we are just drifting (again) and he was leaving anyway. Personally I don't like him much but if I thought he was delivering anything decent I wouldn't have cared about that
