Boro Pride (My Boro)

"All members will get £1 off the regular price of their match ticket, while those who select a digital membership will also have their £1.50-per-ticket service charge waived when buying online."

I take it the they only waive the charge for home tickets?

So you have to go to 15 matches just to break even on the membership cost?

Would it not work out cheaper to just get a ST if you’re going to go to that many anyway?

My initial thoughts:

It is a positive step to re-introduce a membership scheme and welcomed.

I like how its available in both digital and non digital formats.

I like how its pre loaded with some Priority Points

I like how other perks are available but these are not stated.

Negatives

£15 for effectively 78% of the season, seems steep.

£1 discount off a ticket is not much, typically thats £1 off £32 or about 3.4%. For a non digital customer to break even its 15 games and there is only 18 home league games left. Digital it is more attractive with 6 games to break even which is OK.

I assume Priority points for a member with be merged, so if they have say 8 points now then 10 more are added when they become a member, giving a new total of 18.

Suggestions to make it more attractive

Make the £15 membership a one off fee, so it lasts over many seasons - that way a lot of people will be confident they can recover the up front cost.

Allow members same discounts as season ticket holders for cup games at the Riverside.

Allow member free entry to Under 21 and Under 18s games

Give members more priority points than non members on home game tickets.
