Boro's new Assistant Head of Football:

Interesting one, always seemed a decent guy. Intelligent as well got a degree when he lived in D.C. probably has decent knowledge of the US market

I have no doubt he is an intelligent guy, but having a degree certainly doesn't confirm that these days, Some of the thickest people I know have degrees :ROFLMAO:
Especially in the US, where they will walk anyone related to sport through a degree, providing they hand over cash of course.

I have no idea about the rumour but Shaka has been a stalwart of Show Racism The Red Card over the years. Some of his contributions online from USA have really hit home over this side of the Atlantic. A very thoughtful, articulate speaker, hiis own experiences of racism show up the idiocy as well as dangers in words.
No idea if he is linked to Boro scouting however.

Yeah, no doubt about all that. Good for him, and good for the sport if he can make a difference.

But my comment was about the degree thing (not Shaka), as from what I understand, even anyone in college football (American football) and later NFL has to have a degree, and we know a lot of them are not the sharpest tools in the shed. The degree thing isn't really much of a supporting point I mean, but I'm not sure if it's the same for Football/ Soccer mind.

He graduated from Howard University with honours with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and he interned at NASA. I think that alone shows he's a very clever man. I'm pretty sure he started Show racism the red card too or was at least involved very early. That would be a great opportunity to address the booing of the knee culture among some fans.

I honestly am starting to think my job applications are a complete waste of crayons!
Don’t worry, I still have held that job open, it is perfect for a man of your skills 👍

The mop & bucket are in the cupboard and the bin wont empty itself btw

Canny little mid season booster!

I actually took (& still have) a photo of Carrick, Hislop & a few others including David James & Joe Cole on the back of a bus from a pre-season West Ham tour of Jersey around 2001-ish... may suddenly have become a lot more relevant than it was this time last year!

You need the scouting role Newy, just imagine what you could do with a decent budget. The club shop would run out of umlauts and hyphens for printing on the back of the shirts but we'd make some extra cash back from those long names. The Latvian third tier is a hotbed of new talent I hear.

I’m glad somebody took notice of George Friend, Albert Adomah, Grant Leadbitter etc someone also took not of the Chelsea loanees available finally it seems we are looking to bring in young players from South London as I suggested.

It’s a shame that they pulled in a complete belt to coke up our prem season and then spaff all our money on 2nd rate talent. It’s good to see my moneyball picks still doing so well in the premier league tho.

Fingers crossed we can tap into the MLS market and bring in a few underrated gems and there are still some absolute beauties flying under the radar in Europe.

Fingers crossed we don’t blow it.. by ignoring my top quality advice.

Hey, I'm not mocking you Newy, more good natured ribbing. I've definitely seen you tip players as good prospects that have then gone on to get good moves and increase in value. Get that moneyball spready emailed to Kieran Scott.
