Bosko, villa hero.

Alan Brazil bangs on about Bosco all the time on his TalkShite Show. His 2 goals handed the title to Villa when Ipswich should have taken it.

Utterly crazy that a game of such high profile wasn’t televised. I say not televised I can’t find any footage of those two goals.
 
Yup. I lived for years near Brum and a few older lads would tell me how much they love Bosco because he scored for us to beat Ipswich and they won the league.
 
I went to this match. I always thought it was 2-0, but in my defence it was a very long time ago.

To be honest I was a bit disappointed that we won that day , as I quite liked Ipswich at the time.
 
Thanks for finding that - just watched. Two cracking Bosco headers especially the second. It was a beauty. Villa wouldn't have won the European Cup if it wasn't for Bosco Jankovic!

Note how few Ipswich fans were at Ayresome Park - for a crucial title battle.
 
I remember in the final minutes Bosco (or Bosko) tormenting Ipswich/England full back Mick Mills dribbling and teasing out wide and making him look stupid as he lunged in for the ball and missed again and again.
It was cruel but really amusing for Boro fans.
