Boxing: Good Fight Tomorrow Lunchtime UK Inoue vs Nery

Should be a good fight - coming out of Tokyo Dome, Japan so around midday if you are at a loose end and like your boxing.

Inoue should win this and i think stop Nery before the 8th - his ring craft / IQ and insane speed, footwork and range of combinations and body / head punch variations should carry him, but Nery has a good punch on him and has a good record at this weight.

Interestingly the Tokyo Dome was host to Tyson's unexpected defeat to Buster Douglas!

Just got round to watching this. Avoided the result all week although it was inevitable.

Another dominant performance from one of the most if not the most talented boxer in the world.

The question is, how far can he step up? No one at 126 is going to bother him. Will he try and take out that whole division. I would love to see him batter Vargas.

There's some good fights at 135 if he wants to go that high. Tank, Loma, Shakur Stevenson. That's where the glamour fights for him are.

Honestly for his size I think 130 is his limit. I don't think he loses his power, but his punch resistance by naturally bigger fighters will probably be his undoing. If he tries and succeeds in cleaning up 126 that would be spectacular, but I think he will have problems at 130 as there are some very resilient fighters at junior lightweight

I honestly think he'll be fine at 130. He holds so much power. He'll still cause them big problems.
He's like a pacquiou. He can keep going up.

You are right about the punch resistance though. If he'd taken that shot in the first from a Tank rather than Nery he could have been in bother.

Risk v Reward in boxing though. An Inoue v Tank will be worth more than another 5 fights at 126/130 financially. Depends on his goals.
