Breakdancing at the Olympics?

I imagine it's a 'better' watch than someone prancing around with a bit of ribbon on a stick😂

To he honest the majority of Olympic sports are a bit naff. That's why you done see them on TV any other time.

Of course squash should be there but they have argues that visually its not a great sport for tv. That said Breakdancing is an absolutely ludicrous decision to include.

Do people still breakdance??? I remember spinning on my head a few times in the '80s .. but is it still a thing these days?

Hi Daffs, the TV coverage of squash now is fantastic, the all glass courts with cameras all round and above really show this sport as a great spectacle of speed and skill. Coverage is much better than tennis, or shooting etc. I'm slightly biased here! But I can never understand why a sport played in over 20 countries by over 180 million people can be excluded for so long. It makes a massive difference to the funding of these sports at grass roots levels.

Would love to see a T20 or even T10 cricket in there. West Indies would be broken up into separate countries though. But there's plenty of countries outside of the Test nations on the T20 circuit these days. UAE, Oman, Kenya etc... Would certainly think that would be more suitable than head spinning. I think speed climbing is in the Tokyo Olympics. I think that could be a good watch.

Did anybody watch the World Tag Championships on Channel 4 the other week? It was surprisingly very entertaining, and definitely lots of skill and athleticism involved.

I think cricket has been in before? One of the early games perhaps?

I agree it should be in but then the 'Muricans would want rounders in.

I was just watching the Oscar Pistorius docu on BBC - The struggle thathe had to get into the Olympic Games was incredible. He was analysed to prove that he didn't have superhuman skills etc

breakdancing? Give me a break!

I have seen the tag thing and yes, it was surprisingly entertaining

Although I have never participated in any winter sport, I find the winter Olympics more entertaining on the whole than summer games. I like some of the sprint races and will watch finals in athletics and other sports, but for me the commentary in the winter games is so much more enthusiastic I find it much more engaging and fun to watch

He shouldn't have been allowed in. He had bionic legs. Like a swimmer having bionic arms and legs that wade through the water like a speed boat.

How is Oscar these days anyway? Haven't seen him out on the track for a while. What's he been up to?
