This morning in 'Boro centre a small black lad came up to me, he smiled and handed me a leaflet. It was a leaflet about God. His father stood nearby, smiling, and two other young lads were also handing out leaflets. They may be from the same family.
What a breath of fresh air this was. We used to hear the man shouting 'Hell and Damnation' to anyone who didn't heed his teachings, outside the Cleveland Centre. And, here was a humble and polite family trying to encourage people to learn more about God.
Whether you are a Christian or not it would be hard not to respect that family. Who would you rather see? Boys on bikes wearing hoodies and complete face masks 'swerving' in between shoppers and laughing at the panic this can cause, or a young family trying to show love, understanding, and respect to all they meet.
Respect to that father and his children.
