Would happily never see either pudding wear the badge of Middlesbrough football club again.

Also after being delighted to sign Morsy I have been bitterly disappointed in him in recent weeks and was expecting much more. I really think we need to try and sell Wing and bring a midfielder in as well as the obvious wide players and striker we need.
 
Morsy has struggled in recent weeks, was fantastic up to his injury but has never found anything those same standards since

We were poor on the goal defensively. Morsy played a big part in that. It’s then when you need the midfield and forwards to drag you back into the game. It didn’t happen.

You said on another thread the midfield lost us the game second half. Which is it?
 
Wing did set up the only 2 decent chances in the first half and had nothing to do with conceding. The issues were all over the pitch today from keeper to strikers.

Both are correct. It was more than the goal first half. Fry and McNair kept them on the front foot retreating at every opportunity and Bola and Djiksteel consistently lost their men. They did better second half, but there was no central midfield control of the ball to give us a base to play off. I thought Howson looked totally of the pace and almost gifted them a second but he will get better.

You are right but today was off the scale for being disappointing. How bad were Brum? And yet they beat us at the Riverside and we made George Friend look world class.

As you say, patience.

Exactly. We still need to remember where we were last season compared to now.

Playoffs would be a welcome bonus. As others have said, move Britt on and give Fletcher some more responsibility to lead the line. Wing was out of the team, has obviously shown Warnock something in training but hadn't replicated it on matchdays. We may aswell shift him on and give an U-23 prospect his place on the bench for added experience. We will make a profit on Wing anyways so that's an added bonus.
 
Bad day at the office - I think Morsy will come good in the end.

Howson looked most likely to create something but did get caught once or twice in possession that nearly cost us.

not sure why watmore wasn’t on From the start.

agree re wing and assambolonga - if anyone offers us anything for Britt I would say take it and run.
