Britt swap?

A short reply from Bristol City Manager regards transfers, after defeat to Rams:

Anything else to happen before Monday?​

Its not inconceivable its a goer?
 
I wonder if Britt fancies Bristol City? My point being if he doesn't he won't go anywhere.

He would probably have a pick of 3-4 champo clubs in the summer (yes believe it or not). Then maybe a bigger wage.

That said I hope this happens.
 
Would it just be a six month thing as both are out of contract? I don’t see how it’s in the players best interest as they will be free agents in the summer and have their pick of destinations

I dont think footballers are getting the new reality post Covid. I suspect next year market forces are going to push wages right down, any with sense would be getting on board now.

The modern footballer, esp PL & even Championship prima-donnas, have always lived in an ego inflated grandiose bubble of self adoration & ability... a covid bubble just inflates this sense of self worth even more...
 
I posted something about this on a separate thread last week after speaking with some friends in Bristol. They said the rumour in Bristol was growing significantly that Britt was coming till end of season with potential to sign when his contract expired. We were paying £500k for Diedhiou on a permanent rather than see him walk out the door for nothing in the summer but they had to have Britt so they were not left short. Not an ITK just what sounded like strong local rumours in Bristol.
