Five years ago tomorrow we lost my musical hero
A can remember his Starman performance on lift of with Ayshia the day before his totp performance and he still continued to entertaining us
His output in the seventies was amazing and so diverse from The man who sold the world ro scary monsters nobody else could have had a more productive decade
I was fortunate enough to see him perform live
Thanks for the memories

I actually think it's his birthday tomorrow Popiggy with his memoriam on Sunday.
Yes, same as you I was devastated when he died and I think the first time my children ever saw me openly weep.
The only performance of his I attended was at Roker Park in 87 I think it was. Not his greatest by all accounts but still a great memory.

Me & my wife were talking about him the other day, how he kept his illness quiet from everyone other than a few close to him, great singer
I think I have the ticket from his gig at Roker Park, my late brother gave me some of his old music venue tickets
 
Roker Park was the Glass Spider Tour. Didn't go to that one but had seen him in '83 at Murrayfield and '90 at Milton Keynes Bowl.

I seen him in Oxford on 73 and on the station to station tour at Empire pool Wembley
A pity we never got to see the Diamond Dogs tour in Britain u
