Can we get our 7th league win on Saturday?? ..

Was reading earlier, that our record for wins in a row was in the '70s at some point, was it?? .. Before my time, but believe it was nine league games. The way we're looking at the moment I see no reason we can't try to beat that ...

The only thing is, I am anxious just like everyone else is about knocks and injuries catching up. Losing the likes of Smith for the season is a blow to me, he contributes so much to the spirit of this side and is an important player, his experience has done us really well.

That is what I love about this season, I have never seen such an enthusiastic and able bench. No sulking on the sidelines. They come on and they deliver. Like Morgan vs Brum, Silvera last night. Carrick's man management must be brilliant.

Concerned Hackney is unavailable for Stoke. I am glad this fixture is at home firstly, they're on a good run like us now and Neil is a great manager I think ... I was looking at the table, and can't believe how tight it is down to almost mid-table, we're 11 points off Ipswich in second but only 2 points off Leeds in 3rd! Crackers .. who would have thought that a few weeks back?

Credit to the team and Carrick. We've been so much better defensively and seems like things are almost getting finely tuned all over the pitch, shame we couldn't manage that fourth clean sheet last night, but couldn't stop their late goal-worldy strike that was!

I am praying we get another win vs a very good Stoke side and get closer to this record. I'd love Carrick to match/break it. A perfect day would be if other results go our way and we could end up a lofty 3rd!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Who thinks we're gonna do it???

I think it'll be tough on Saturday, they'll set up to deny us space between the lines and catch us in the break I think. Hopefully they'll be knackered after a big effort to beat Leeds last night and our extra days rest will give us enough to get us over the line. 2-1 Boro, Coburn and a late winner from Latte Kath. Latte Lath damn autocorrect!

Records are meaningless I’d take what ever points we can get, we know we won’t every game and in the battle for promotion any point in the championship is a good one.

If the record comes great but it’s about the bigger picture.

Yeah a point definitely wouldn't be a disaster. I think they're a decent side with a good manager.

Stoke are on a decent little run themselves. I think this will be a very tight affair.

Im in unchartered territory in the land of positivity at the moment so i am going to say it will be a draw

I expect a hard match, they seem to be back in a good vein of form after a bit of struggle.

Would love us to get a win, and then it would set up the Exeter match as a record equalling game.

Watched their game vs Leeds last night. Wouldn't put too much store in the result as it all hinged on Agent Bamford's penalty. Basically a goalie and ten midfield ratters - heavy going in the middle but not much evident threat.

Did not watch the full game but the bits I seen I thought Stoke looked decent and played some good football, it will be a tough game hopefully we get a few players back from injury or illness for this one

Oh, I was still in my mother's womb during that time. But it's almost time to give birth.
Thinking about that time Who knew that a fan of the team was about to be born?

Carrick has faith in the squad. They have the capability and the experience to take up the challenge. We need to make lots of noise and give them that bit extra on Saturday. (y)

Every team plots how to beat their opposition, but when it comes to planning how Boro will play or who will score, the fans do not know, so how can the opposition plan ?

Another tough game but one I fully anticipate Boro will win. I jokingly said after Sunderland to my son we’ll win ten in a row now!

It doesn’t look so far fetched now.

I think it will be another tight game, they’ve just come into good form.

Hopefully we have the likes of Lath, maybe one of McGree/Lenihan back which would be a boost.

Leeds really should have beaten them last night, absolutely battered them second half.
But it will still be a test.
The little thug Pearson can also play bit. Was on loan from Bournemouth second half of last season in their upturn and Neil had him before that at Preston.
Someone will need to stand up to his physicality in midfield.
Could do with not being ithout Hackney for all sorts of reasons.

They brought 18 signings in this summer after clearing the decks. Under Neil they will become a threat.
