He was quite blunt with the interviewer when he mentioned about us being 6 points off the play-offs, although in fairness he was the same last season, when he kept getting asked about what our prospects were for making the play-offs.Carrick was embarrassing in his Tees interview I think. He should have been honest to admit he and the players messed up. And then stonewalling fair questions is just silly. He needs to do better than he did tonight.
Uber Fan? I would say reasoned commentator. We played well apparently and just didn’t get the breaks - Does he use the same interview script after every game?
Even Uber fan Dana Malt was massively in disagreement with his summary today, a sign I’m sure!
Agreed. Missing chances is a part of not playing well. Them letting an average team come from behind to win letting in daft goals is another part of not playing wellIt's hard to describe, yes we played well in the fact we created the best chances and the best situations. But then we blew those chances and wasted a lot of good positions. Not clinical enough in either box. We were also a bit unlucky.
Engel played okgreenwood, crooks, engal and barlaser i give special Praise to for being exceptional *****. half that starting 11 were not good enough to give us a consistent winning team. but the main fallback for me was the garbage behind lath. only jones looked anything like an attacking threat. crooks and greenwood gave the ball away when it was easier to set up a teammate. *****.
That’s mostly fair comment, but I thought we were sufficiently the better of two poor sides in the first half to have the game put to bed, and I suspected we would regret not doing so. On another day, that could’ve been an easy win. I don’t think that excuses the manager’s comments, but fine margins all the same.It was a pretty dismal game by two poor teams on the night i thought - Hull improved as the game wore on and we got worse. The defending for both their goals was shockingly bad
