Carrick = Fabulous Job

What a fantastic Manager, squad decimated by injuries yet still only three points off the play offs and a cup semi final to boot.
Remarkable job considering the cards he's been dealt.
Guy is an outstanding Manager and destined for a huge future.
A good January transfer window and some important players back from injury we could have a very exciting second half of the season.
Hat's off to the squad, all played their part, very encouraging, ups and downs, yes but done an excellent job.
C'mon Boro we are proud of you all.
Thank you Michael Carrick for rejuvenating our precious club.

Love the guy. He’s doing a fantastic job under tough circumstances.

My worry is if we don’t eventually back him for a full promotion push and a premiership team comes calling, it’s getting to the point where it’d be tough for him to turn down.

Agree 👍

He's been fantastic for us. I think this current spell is showing just how good a coach he is. That's more so than when we were flying and he had Giles / Archer and Akpom at his disposal.

He's managing an injury ravaged squad. We have players out of position or being nursed back from longterm injuries. It's a juggling act. Also the likes of Rogers / Greenwood / Coburn and Rav have been thrown in at a very young age or champ experience.

I doubt any of the above were expected to see so much game time at this stage of the season. It's out of necessity. They all seem to be loving the pressure and responsibility. No doubt given freedom and advice from the gaffer.

He's also done a few tactical weeks over the last few weeks. Showing he can be flexible. Again out of necessity with players available.

He's doing a terrific job. I do worry that other clubs will come sniffing. Yet that's the hazards of being in the champo and 'bigger' clubs wanting a manager or player from you. That's football. Nothing we can do about it.

Hopefully Moyes pens a new deal. Carricks names thrown about by West Ham fans. Although they'd be mad to move on Moyes. I'm not sure what West ham fans expect. It's didn't workout so well last time they went looking for 'better' 😂

The team spirit must be great. For us to be ravaged by injuries and down to the bare bones, yet we've still managed to keep within touching distance of the play-offs, and reach a cup semi-final, it's amazing really.

I don't think this would be possible if we had a manager in charge who the players didn't like and respect.

Been a brilliant appointment, and I hope we can get him tied down to a new contract.

He's still learning too, so he'll only improve.

Great tactical changes last night as well. He's been criticised for not making subs earlier, rightly at times - but he brought Coburn on for Dijksteel (could easily have brought Clarke on and moved Rav to RB but went for the attacking option) and then went to three at the back to counter their good spell.

I just enjoy watching this team. Trying to ignore reacting to individual results and look at the overall picture.

Yeah really good in game management last night from Carrick. Deserves his plaudits

He's got the lot for me. Obviously we don't see what goes on behind the scenes, but there's been nothing to suggest he's not exactly the same as what we see. Calm, confident and backs his players 100%

And it all seems very authentic. We all, quite rightly, praise him for working miracles with inexperienced players and a ridiculous injury crisis.

Yet I'm not even sure he'd agree he's done anything that special. Seems to genuinely believe in the ability his squad and that transmits to those players who are fit. He must on some level be tearing his hair out at the injuries, but he gives absolutely nothing away.

Just a natural leader.

Well said

Still has a lot to learn but his man management skills and the way he likes to see his team play is a joy to behold. I hope he will stay even if he doesn’t get us promoted this season

I think the whole club is in a wonderful place right now.

Young squad who give their absolute everything win, lose or draw despite being decimated with injury.
A manager with a huge, huge future who clearly makes them believe.
Recruitment team who are on the ball and a chairman who still has every bit of passion ge did on day one.

With the injuries I've kind of gave this season as a free hit, the lads have been amazing, wether we just miss our or end up in the play offs they're giving it their very best go.

New contract for the gaffer please. UTFB

If I got home early from work to find Carrick there, I’d make him a coffee! Love the bloke. He is perfect for Boro and the club is building nicely.

Unfortunately he's too good for us. If we don't get promoted this season then we'll struggle to hold on to him. We might get one more Championship season with him after this if we are lucky. The only way I can see another season beyond that is if we are in the Prem.

Top man and best manager we’ve had since AK.
I wish the Riverside would get behind him the same way it did Wilder.
