Carrick speaking to the press this afternoon

It'll be an extended version of his post match thoughts, like, giving nothing away.. but looking forward to listening.

My first question would be "Michael, why do your attacking patterns of play need 34,650 passes before a player has a shot?"
I'm happy with the style of play, it's the kind of play that will:

a - win more games than we lose
b - will see us scoring plenty
c - attract quality footballers to the club, goof ballers don't want to play long ball, as we saw every time that Pulis tried to sign a quality player.
d - will inflate the value of our attacking talent by them scoring and creating and having strong passing stats. That will long term earn the club more money than being defensive long ballers, trying to grind out 1-0s and seeing our top scorer on 10 goals.

True it’s a great result, I still have never seen boro win at Coventry since highfield so I am happy with the 0-0.
flip side is that Coventry have never won at the riverside, Boro won 9, and drawn 4. Scored 24 conceded 6.

I don't think what Carrickball said has no value whatsoever. Even Carrick in his post match interview admitted that our attacking play second half could have been better, in terms of creating chances. Cov came into the game much more second half, and although we still had relative control, it certainly restricted our attacking play. Expect us to win on Wednesday (like everyone else), but we definitely need to improve in the final third.

Don't go against the condescending pile on MV, you won't fit in with the cool kids!
