Barlaser and O'Brien both woeful in last few games but both finishing games when we are losing and chasing the game.
McGree, Greenwood, Azaz all taken off at various time before of one of the above mentioned.
How about just getting the (supposed) more creative players on and just going for it.
Surely worth trying McGree in the deeper role and taking one of Barlaser / O'Brien off.
Just makes no sense to me.

Is it his ego that wont let us go 5 at the back against so called "lesser" clubs.
I have no doubt if we had played 5 at back against Preston/Stoke away we would have achieved better results than we actually did.

And don't mention the full backs

To be fair, he could have taken anyone off yesterday, Greenwood McGree Forss all did fooock all, in our supposed creative line up.
O'Brien or Barlaser should have been replaced, but with who? the only obvious choice available would be McNair.
McGree is not a deep lying midfielder.
 
Got the team all wrong yesterday.


Should have started Smith, Fry, Lenihan, Howson, Hackney and Jones

How about giving McCabe a go? can’t do any worse
 
O’Brien was excellent at Leicester, three games ago. The way our confidence is it’s vital we don’t concede first. That’s why I think it’s best we shore up the defence for the next couple.

Forss has been woeful last couple and wierdly didn’t play at Leicester, maybe he’s due a rest? Ayling also looked more comfortable at Leicester as a wing back, worth another go too?
 
His training methods leave a lot to be desired with our injury rate of over half the squad out injured .
 
The point I was making was when we are losing and chasing game take negative players off and get more creative players on.
No one is suggesting starting McGree in defensive midfield role but maybe just play one holding player when chasing game.

So lets not try something different lets continue with the two clowns who played in midfield.
It would have been a gamble but we are now st the stage where we desperately need to try something different
