Champions League Final in Porto

There was probably only 6,000 fans per side at the last one with a full stadium, most of the tickets for the final go to corporates and sponsors etc. I was invited the Real/Atletico final at Estadio La Luz in Lisbon a few years ago and there was thousands of fans from both side outside the ground booing the people in suits getting ushered into the ground via corporate entrances from buses and cars.

I don't understand this at all. Firstly why outside the UK and secondly I am not sure it's a great idea to allow fans just yet even within the UK. Whilst for fans this is important, it really isn't.

I think it's due to the UK being hesitant to offer UEFA dignitaries quarantine waivers.
Yep, that's the reason.

Absolutely amazing location though - love Porto, although I've yet to see a match there which is definitely on the bucket list.

Geordies played a friendly there a couple of years ago, jammy sods :)

That just makes the whole thing more foolhardy. On the one hand I want to get back to normal. On the other, we should do that internally first.
