Cheesiest / Most crass pop video

You expect a Telly Savalas song to have a cheesy video. That’s pastiche. It’s when a once serious ground breaking band put out a pretentious cheesy monstrosity that should be rightly called out. Like this one.

The song is great though.

Good shout CD - Strangely enough I have a few LP's by a 70's British Soul / Funk band called Kokomo - very good too

Not strictly a pop video but got to be worth a mention as it's beyond cheesy! I honestly wondered if it was a sketch when I first saw it! It was the time in the mid 80's when that Joey bloke out of mega soft rockers Europe called in a few favours from the Scandinavian metal community to put together this big hair-fest all in the name of some charity or other ...probably! Who cares what the cause was, this is priceless footage! Watch in awe as one metaller after the next tries to outdo each other in the wailing, pouting and hair stakes! Presumably there was a massive hole in the Ozone layer over Sweden/Norway around this time.

My word, that's awful. :)

Clive Dunn was only fifty-one when he sang that Grandad song.
All though I appreciate that some of my contemporaries were great-granddads by that age.
Learnt a couple of weeks ago that was the only No1 Herbie Flower wrote, the man who came up with the bass line for Walk on the Wild Side
