Chelsea enemy no1 - history

7-2 never forget and the video to prove it lol 😆, but being in the Holgate end on that night to remember (2-0 over the cockney scumbags) was probably the best night of my football life.
Was the 2-0 Dave Shearer's debut abt 77 - 78? I think he scored the 2 goals that night

Im 35 so have no memories from the play offs or the ZDS but my dad does and his feelings/stories mirror the above.

They broke my heart twice in the mid 90's and whenever i have met any Chelsea fans, they have never been pleasant. Find them really easy to dislike.

Would love to beat them, i really would.
I echo this. I'm 35 and my memories are from the cup in the 90s and my dad telling me about previous dealings with them and since then I've absolutely despised them.
I want them to lose every week, i laugh at their misery, i shudder at their success and I hope that all their current transfer dealings ultimately end in the clubs ultimate demise.
**** em.

I heard stories about mass scraps at half time in the final on the half way line concourse , didn't see it as I was in the gods behind the goal.
Think I was 12, me and my dad who was a man mountain got separated on the stairs and I got a smack in the face. Was my first real experience of football violence and I'm sad to say I loved it. I managed to maintain that shiner for weeks so I could tell anyone who asked how I got it.

Completely agree though, them and Leeds are the worst of the worst.

I missed any handbags with Chelsea at the ZDS, before during or after. I was living three stops away from Fulham Broadway and my best mate came down on the Thursday, and we just spent the next few days on the lash, we were asked if we wanted to go a pub on Shepherds Bush to meet up with other Boro on the Sunday before the game, we didn't, even though at the time I was only a couple of hundred metres from the pub, Olympia was the tube station to Fulham Broadway , - come the biggest day out in our history up to that point, me and my mate had overcooked everything and we were ****ed, it is the Boro way, we just put oor shades on and slinked into the ground, where we sat was very sedate ( fortunately ), we were in the Olympic gallery, my mate worked at ICI and had got them.complementary. Everyone was well mixed up there but there was no posturing.
On the Monday Chelsea fans at work hated us accusing Boro of being animals, I think it was a bad day for normal fans all-round, with idiots from both sides being indiscriminate in who they attacked.

I didn't like Chelsea anyway because off the playoffs, the grief I had from living and drinking in their areas and also losing the Wembley games left a bad impression on me, but gradually over the years I couldn't care less. Not sure now, if we got schlonked in the next two games then I might start to dislike them again.
Getting 'overcooked' before the game is absolutely the Boro way. It's the first time I've heard someone admit it.😂

Procs mam showed me his shirt after the ZDS final...covered in spit and phlegm from Chelsea fans as he walked back down front receiving his medal.

I was there, stewards opened the gates to let them through - a large scrap ensued , before they retreated , and the gates locked behind them as they went

I asked my dad, who was at the away leg of the promotion/relegation play-off, for a Chelsea shirt when I was only 10 during the 2004/05 season when they had Mourinho and smashed the league.

I'll always remember his reaction to that.

Hate of all hates for me even more so than the deckchairs and dirties, was at the battle of the bridge in 88 spent quite a while after the game in the stands eioing while watching for bricks coming over the back of the stand, was with a couple of mates on the tube surrounded by scum on the tube for the zds, tho didnt see the bother in the ground at least higgy and jan age made memories of the 1st game at the Riverside good ones, then our only cup final ruined after 43 seconds and the linesmans flag hate em, UTFMB

The ZDS was chaos at HT, but Boro had ran them all over that day, it was carnage at Kings x, with Chelsea & West Ham mobbed up together, they got a hammering, must have been 3-400 Boro and they weren’t expecting that turnout, my mate took a tumble down the escalators, complained of his leg hurting all day, to find out on the Monday he had a double break. I lived in London at the time, it was messy after as well, but for months all I heard was how Boro had ran riot that day

Chelsea and west ham mobbing up, surely not?

Up there with the mackems and Everton for teams I can't stand. As my pic shows that day when we relegated them will always be remembered.
