Christmas on the wagon

To all the people fighting their battle with their vice, whatever it may be, I respect your commitment to improving your life for yourself and your loved ones. It's not easy to give up the things we crave or think we enjoy. Merry Christmas to all. We don't need a drink to be the best version of ourselves. UTB

My wife reminded me yesterday it was not my 3rd but 4th Sober Christmas. Reading people on here give me strength and hope I will this year finally crack it and keep going every single day.

Yesterday, 1 Brooklyn 0, 1 Heineken 0 and 1 Martini alcohol free (with tonic water). Up this morning at 6:30am and love this feeling.

Good luck to everyone on what ever journey you are trying to take.

thanks for sharing all your stories, very encouraging. I guess this is a silent battle for most, whether we drink or are trying not to. I often wonder why we live in an alcoholic society as it really is poison.
And good luck to all who really want to stay on the wagon in 2024.
