Come on Lille, Atleti and Napoli!

Rather Madrid win it than Atletico but that's just because i hate Suarez and Simeone
Ha fair enough. Seeing Real Madrid fail is always funny. I don’t hate them but it’s nice for someone other than them and Barca to win the league, even tho Atleti seem to win on a semi-regular basis now.

Actually just checked and they have only won it twice in my lifetime. I thought it was more like 3-4. They are always top 3 though.

Yeah I'd like Atletico to win,so it's someone other than Real or Barca for a change

Another hell of an achievement by Simeone and Atletico Madrid.

They’re not minnows by any stretch and have some murky financial things going on, but to win the championship in a league with those two giants is an astonishing achievement. Barca and Real Madrid’s budgets dwarf the rest of the league by a huge, huge amount - €680M wage bill for Barca compared to €190M for Atleti and €30M for Real Sociedad, who finished 5th - and the TV money distribution is rigged so the big clubs get a lot more, they sell their broadcast rights per team so it’s different to here.

Bit like Dundee United winning two Scottish Premier Leagues against a full strength Rangers and Celtic.

Really happy for them. Simeone’s done a hell of a job for such a long period. Renewal is the hardest thing for managers but he’s built a number of great teams there, and great to see an Englishman in their team this season. I love his outsider, man in black, punk rock mentality too, sets the tone for what they’re all about.

I see Juve are pummeling Bologna. Would be quite funny if it were all for nothing and the results in the Milan / Napoli games go against them and are consigned to the Europa League next season.
