Just had our dog at the vets this afternoon.
She was limping, back leg. It was locking up when she was sleeping, took a while for the leg to start moving properly.
We thought it may be a trapped nerve or something similar. Dog is only 8 years old.
The vet had a look at her, asked if we were insured, then delightfully told us that he could investigate, take x-rays etc. Cost, £1200. Just to investigate. Oh, he also gave her pain killers.
Cheaper to have the dog out down but the wife was having none of it ha ha.
Dreading to think what the diagnosis is going to be and the final bill.
I think once the vets know you are insured, they just rinse you.
