Crowd versus Watford tomorrow

If the attendance is anything above 25,000 (pretty much on the dot) we're guaranteed to finish with a higher average attendance than Wednesday who are away today. Sounds like we've already sold that so we'll finish top 6.

Not bad for a season where I don't believe we've ever actually been in the top 6 in the league, and given our high pricing (see opposite effect with Sunderland). I'd be interested to see how the below translates to ticketing revenue for the top 10. @indeedido is this something that is disclosed in the accounts/you have a record of?

Mate of mine moved from next to me to the disabled area. His seat has never been taken even though my sister asked for it. Very strange.
I used to be in the South Stand a few years back with my mates. I eventually moved to the North to sit with family.

The mates I went with took my seat so share games amongst their kids. Anyway, in our row, there was always a seat next us for every game that was completely free and has been for a couple of seasons.

They’ve enquired two seasons running about buying that seat, but the club say it’s a season ticket seat, despite nobody ever sitting/standing there.

I can only assume it’s somebody who has bought a ST for the South and they just stand elsewhere in the South with mates.

Can't do this until all clubs accounts are published for the year to June 2024 which will not be until well into 2025.

one of the lads who used to come with us moved to the east to take his son and his seat has been free all season too!

Leaves us with an overall average of 26,905, and we finish with the 6th highest average in the division. Not bad at all.

Bit of a shame we're inevitably going to be down in numbers next season, but hopefully fans will be tempted back if things are going well for us on the pitch.

That's a remarkable average,by any historical measure.
We could have a much better season next year and have a lower average.

Did I miss the open top bus parade announcement for the mackems?

Average attendance 27,000 this season for a side that never rose above 8th according to some the most expensive - that is some going.
