Dan Badpasser

Remember when he had a couple of good games and people kept bumping the threads to try and ridicule posters who had pointed out he wasn't good enough? Seems a long time ago that.

He really doesn't deserve singling out today when we had Glover Silvera O'Brien and Thomas who were even worse
It was a low bar today! I agree he doesn't deserve singling out today. There wasn't really any of them covering themselves in glory.

But point still stands, looking at the season holistically, he's nowhere near good enough

He plays as if there’s no goals on the pitch. Just one giant Rondo. Safe 5/10 yarders to the closest person to him, regardless of where he is on the pitch. No drive to make anything happen.

Gifted them the second goal today…. Not for the first time this season and I very much doubt it will be the last.

Stealing a living and needs shipping out in the summer

The standard we currently aspire to be is one where we can beat Rotherham
Not quite. We aspire to be a promotion chasing team and Dan Barlaser is not a player who should be starting week in week out for a team that wants that goal.

He was poor for the second goal but I also felt it was a poor decision by Azaz to play the first time pass, when their man was so close to Barlaser. It put him under unnecessary pressure.

I think this is where we really miss having a player like Akpom in the side. I'm sure in the same situation Akpom would have either held the ball up, or turned and played a ball out wide.

When players were playing the ball up to Azaz and McGree's feet yesterday, they kept looking to play quick first time balls to feet and lost possession. The ball just wasn't sticking at all.

He is the living epitome of the complete opposite we've needed in front of the back 3 or 4 for at least two years. Never wins the ball, often loses it, weak, lightweight, no pace and one decent pass a game doesn't disguise the fact that he still even looks bad in a team that has two apalling full backs, and at leat half a dozen others having their worst day. And just how bad must the rest of the squad be at set pieces that Barlasser is first choice on corners?

I am going to go against the masses as I actually think Barlaser is a very good player "with the ball" granted he has a lot of issues with his defensive duties but his passing ability is really good and he comes under pressure in my opinion because the players in front don't move or make the runs for where he intends to play the ball, he is another who plays some really dangerous forward passes some good crosses from wide areas but players are too static, not saying he is a top 6 player but if he had players with movement of Leeds front 4 or Ipswich never say die attitude he would be much more highly regarded, this discount the areas he needs to work on but the negative approach towards him is very much over the top IMO.

He was poor. Although by no means the 'worst'. I'm not really sure what he brings? The odd decent ball. Yet he's so slow and hardly 'dynamic'. Also not great in the tackle or never looks likely to score.

The fact is we have 2 fit CMs. Hackney and Howson out for the majority of the season. So frankly nothing Carrick can do.

We have two fit CMs. One of them is just coming back from 4-5 months out. It's not ideal. Yet they could be woeful from now until May and little we can do about it. We are probably days away from the Mcnair in CM 'debate' 😂

Well If the academy players of agyemang, mccabe, aj Bridge are good enough, surely they should be considered now following some of the performances of late otherwise what's the point in including them in the match day squad.

As a young player watching some of our senior pros, I would be going and knocking on the managers door saying I am better the X put me in let me show you what I can do!

Players come on and even though they haven't been in the team, I don't see that desire to make an impact and give the manager a difficult decision to make!

I have absolutely no idea what you have seen to reach those conclusions. His passing is too slow, he gives it away with alarming regularity and comes really deep to do it.
