Think he is a different kind of player to those two. They are probably a bit more dynamic, whereas Barlaser tries to control the tempo more. He showed his best self against Luton but surprisingly has struggled to put two games together and for consistency for one who is fairly experienced.

He does control the tempo, that’s probably all he brings really. The problem in my opinion is, his tempo is too slow and slows down our general play.

Agree with you, it’s a real shame, was a big opportunity for him today against his old club. Sadly one he hasn’t taken.

was MOM last week and ok today…

let’s not forget the opposition often dictates how a player looks too, and Rotherham, while not a very good team, stifled our midfield…

Hopefully that’s right. But Mowatt career so far suggest he probably is a better player.

As far as performances in a Boro shirt go it’s definetly Mowatt. But Barlaser is our player so hopefully you are right 👍
 
Based on the last 2 games where we've been a weakened team I think he's looked very good. Very sharp one touch passing. Earlier appearances weren't good but I think he looks a real player.
