Darragh Lenihan is 30 in 6 days time an Tommy Smith is 32 in April, so............is it time...

It’ll depend on who’s available to bring in as replacements won’t it? One of the Jan window mistakes was not having a striker ready to sign before letting 2 (I know crooks wasn’t an out and out striker) leave. I expect behind the scenes no one denies this was a mistake. The other considerations have to be are either of them going to be the same after such long lay offs?

I’d like to see jones played as wing back in a 5 man defence which means we need 5 centre halves at least for 3 staring spots. Clarke, lenihan, fry and RVB is a good start but looking at results this season we’ve missed Lenihan and even with him is it good enough?. If we lose paddy we’d need another unless there’s a youth coming up who can step in?

I would rate Lenihan as bottom of the 5 centre backs

RVB
Fry
Mcnair
Clarke
Lenihan

Smith appears to be one of those players who is getting better the longer he's inured.
An average player but handy to have around as a back up imho.

We appear to have a consensus.
Let's hope they come back strong and both perform as well as they did before they were unfortunately injured.
Can certainly do with leaders on the pitch.
VDB is certainly vocal, but remember that match where Smith told the lads to stop celebrating after a goal and corralled them back onto the pitch (y)
