Dele Alli

Whilst I admire his drive and mindset, I don't think this is possible, he's not even in Evertons first team. Hope one day he can get back on top
I’ve read he has the most dreadful mental health problems.
There can’t be much doubt as to his ability to play at a good level.

If (?) he can get the right support mentally - who knows?

Would be great if he could do it

He wont play for prem team again, I very much doubt any foreign clubs will look after the last few loans he has had.

no idea what the lads issues are but he obviously needs help... he needs to focus on that before thinking about kicking a ball again

He was abused as a child wasn’t he?
No wonder his heads fkd

I watched him on MNF last night and just felt very sorry for him.

He's clearly had a lot of troubles, outside of football, these last few years.

I'd love to see him get back to his best, as at Spurs, he was amazing.

But I don't see him ever reaching those heights again.

I think a Prem team might still take a punt on him in the summer - but the type of teams won't be those fighting for European spots. It'll very likely be teams fighting off relegation.

He should look at what Ross Barkley has done in the last year or so and try and build up his career again. Then who knows.

I can't see it, it's been a long time since he was performing well, and it'd take a long period of consistency to get himself back in England contention, whoever the manager is, but obviously it would be brilliant if he did revive his career.

Just regularly playing and performing would be a win for him now.

Will he even get a PL move next season as his contract expires in the summer.

He might have to do a Ross Barkley and go for an unfashionable club who will actually play him, there was some clamour for Barkley to be called up recently. Alli is still only 28 which shocked me.

Wonder if he'd drop down a league...

Agree with this - maybe Luton might take him as well if they stay up - Rob Edwards man management is supposedly very good.

Good luck to him but I highly doubt he'd get anywhere close to previous levels. He's had so much time out of the game through not playing, injuries and problems off the field he'll be lucky to play in the Prem again let alone England. If hes planning on playing in the number 10 he's 4th choice at BEST if he found form again. I loved his rise to Spurs, to read about the problems he'd had and he'd knuckled down and made a life out of it. Its just a shame his trauma came to the service at the height of his career, who knows how far he could have gone. I really didnt like the fact Sky only had 'Deli' on the name banner though, I get he may want to distance himself from his family name due to whats happened in his life but to just label yourself 'Deli' still screams arrogant, even though he did come across well.

The interview he did with Gary Neville a while back was absolutely heartbreaking. He didn’t go into too much detail but what he did say made it sound like he had the most chaotic and neglected childhood possible. It’s amazing he was able to get to the level he did before it all came crashing down around him.

I think part of the reason Everton haven’t been using him is that they would owe another payment to Spurs. Hopefully he can start fresh somewhere else next season and be ready to give it a real go. If he can get anywhere close to being a top Premier league player again it will be a comeback as impressive as Tyson Fury’s.

He might be better off just going back to MK Dons with home comforts and see if he can at least enjoy playing football again. Then if he shows some of the ability he once previously had, then can think about another move or two higher up the pyramid and see where his limit is

He needs to drop down a division and play just behind Latte Lath 😍
I actually think dropping down a division is the best thing for him, the global pressure on him at prem level is too much. He needs to be the big fish in a little pond, playing, having the fans on side, and just refinding his love of playing and winning.

A club like us would be perfect for him. He's made his money, he now needs to find his happy place, and enjoy the last 5 years of his career.

I think that what he needs to do is find a club that can help him rather than one that will pay him the most. Get him happy, get him playing regularly. No idea where that club might be but if he is using an agent then that is what he needs to be looking for not the most prestigious club or the one playing in the highest division/standard but somewhere he can play and achieve and recover at the same time.

Good luck to the lad he deserves a break.

I was thinking about us maybe having a word with him. He’d be in a team who try to play football, wouldn’t stand in his way to move on to a bigger club if we fixed him and if we weren’t promoted.

I watched that and was in floods of tears. His honestly made me feel more honest and open about my own issues. The more you bottle it up, it gets 100 times worse. I hope he does drop down a league but keeps talking and getting help.
