Derby County

Bloody typical.... I have corporate tickets for Saturdays game as a Christmas present for the father in law. I'm not buying him something else if it doesn't go ahead. 😂

That said I’m not sure it’s over for Derby yet. Their supporters are still optimistic a preferred bidder will be announced and the Administrators have been holding some kind of Dutch auction about the pay off of unsecured creditors. It could be Ashley playing brinkmanship and may well pick up the Club for the lowest possible amount. He is ruthless that way.

However today is the day ( unless they get another extension).

Being cynical it sounds like the administrators have been trying to spin this out as long as they can. Derby County fans have really been messed about here by Morris and the administrators that he had appointed.

Hope that something can be sorted out today. Guessing there might be some last minute brinkmanship from Mel and his administrators going on, as they have never had much respect for the EFL's deadlines and procedures previously.

Never known administrators like it. Its as if they are doing mel Morris' bidding. Usually teams in admin have a firesale never mind keeping hold of most of the squad.

The tweets I've read since yesterday, seems meant of their fans genuinely still think this is somehow Gibson's fault for making them run out of time, as if the administrators ignoring the situation for best part of a year wasn't to blame. Fantasists
I said in another post yesterday, I phoned my friend who's a derby ST holder and he told me that derby had borrowed more money from MSD instead of selling players.

Exactly, the role of the administrators in this seems to be ignored by most Derby fans (or at least the gobby ones on the internet) blaming the EFL, Gibbo and even HMRC for some sort of perceived bias against DCFC, yet they have still got senior and (presumably) well paid players on their books and if you believe the stories are borrowing MORE money to keep going. I don't want them to go bust but they seem to be flirting with it by desperately trying to stay in this division and even that is looking less likely by the day.

I hope they are relegated as should have already happened last summer.
They will not go bang, there will be a last minute deal for lowest price. I hope they continue to get beat on the pitch until season ends.
Crikey me, that’s plain nasty that is indeedido!

Did you not get your oats or somert this morning?!😁

I find it very hard to believe the administrators have missed the EFL deadline and no-one has been in touch with them to provide an update, provide assurances or negotiate a further extension? But that sounds like what is happening.

It not only sounds very dodgy, but comes across as extremely arrogant and contemptuous of the EFL. Is it really wise to behave that way when they have the power to kick you out of the league? It just seems like bizarre behaviour from supposed "professionals".
