Did Greenwood actually have a Slaven-type strop on today?

It certainly made me recall the time Slaven was told he would have to play on the left and therefore spent much of the match resolutely stuck to the line. It was a surprise to witness a player we have recently hailed as a 'must-buy' failing to appear even remotely interested in competing. Blatently obvious by half time it took Carrick until the 70th minute to hook him. And what does that tell us of Silvera? The two players ahead of him, Jones and Forss being unavailable did not make him worth a start. Yes Silvera has hardly set the world alight but was he less desirable than another 25 minutes of Greenwood on todays performance?

Greenwood is an enigma for me. He is capable or producing moments of magic but he can also seem disinterested at times, and loses out when battling for the ball a little too easily for my liking.

In a way I'd like to see him get a run in the team playing as a 10 - it's worth remembering that this is his natural position. Crooks has been effective for us playing as a 10 though, so it's a difficult one.

He didn't have a strop no. he was spoken to by the manager and just looked disappointed. played out of position for the team and looked a little lost.

He was played out of position to accommodate another player being played out of position. Genius.

I don't think he often plays that well, to be honest, he just pops up with a key moment in most games.

I thought he was poor against Leicester, and then he scores a stunning free kick.

Didn't think he was playing well against Bristol City and he popped up with an excellent assist.

Same against Plymouth, he was getting slated for his performance before popping up with a goal.

As long as the goals and assists keep coming, it's fine, but it becomes very noticeable when they stop.

A few people have mentioned Greenwood playing on the left. Maybe just a typing mistake, because he played on the right today. Rogers was mainly left, though Latte Lath played portions of the second half there too.

Greenwood on the right was frustrating as he couldn't threaten the full back on the outside or in behind (lack of pace) and when he cut inside it was on his weaker foot. A total fish out of water. Though Crooks didn't help him by under hitting through balls, with Greenwood in good positions, on a couple of occasions first half.

Amongst many poor performances, I thought Greenwood (and Rodgers) were abysmal.
Greenwood rodgers crooks all absolutely terrible today. I have seen enough in previous games to think rodgers has potential. Greenwood doesn't do enough for me. As for crooks i cant see what position he is supposed to be playing or what he brings to the table hes not a no10 or a decent attacking midfielder and he doesn't win the ball either. We badly missed jones today but i would have hooked Greenwood at halftime for silvera as he offered absolutely nothing

I did much the same at my Sunday league team. Played two games up front, scored 1 and assisted 2. Next game big lad’s back and I’m shoved out to the right. In a team full of right footers I didn’t see the ball. The one time I did I scored.

Hooked me at half time because I wasn’t tracking back. Won’t lie, I was in a right strop. We lost 5 - 1.

Still ***ed off about it 😂

Out of position certainly yesterday so any criticism of his performance yesterday has to be tempered by that fact. Yes I find Greenwood a bit lightweight at times frankly and all the comments from Leeds fans on him are turning out to be correct. Tendency to disappear in games, doesn't get involved etc. On the other hand has proved he can play. Need to work on him.

As bad as Greenwood was,he kept trying to press the fullback,Rodgers just wandered about like a lost child.Silvera I just think every time he comes on thats us down to 10 men.

I thought Rogers got in good positions and was much more involved that Greenwood but unfortunately his touch was horrendous
