Did Jordan Hugill ruin our season?

Obviously a few other factors, but just watching Cov v Roth (Cov 4 up already) and Hugiil is putting himself about as usual, fouling get.. Boro had built up good momentum going into that Rotherham game then it's been a sh@t show since. The Jones injury then not signing a decent striker seems to have done our season in.

Watching Coventry demolish Rotherham, I just can't understand why we've struggled against lower league position, worse teams than us.

Absolutely not ..
A squad that could be so focal on one player , if true , has had it's season ruined by non playing staff.
Or we're just slow as fk as a squad , without anyone willing to play with the same discipline as Jones on the left of the 3 ..

In which case.... It's still not Hugill's fault

Our form was still inconsistent in the games leading up to Rotherham at home. We'd lost away at Rotherham and lost 1-3 at home to Coventry.

With or without Jones we were never getting close to the play-offs this season.

I think his actions had a really negative effect on the club as a whole. The inaction/incompetence of the referee made an awful result even worse.

Rotherham are a real bogey team for us I normally like to see so called smaller teams do well but the way they set about things I look forward to them being relegated.

If I sound bitter it’s because I am.

No, it was already spiralling away, but he didn't F***ing help and he's a d*ckhead of a footballer.

Was it spiralling away? I could have sworn we were one point off the play offs and ahead in a major Semi Final the game before we played Rotherham. Turned to s*** after that, but I guess that's the point.

I think Jones was due to breakdown any time soon regardless of the Hugill incident personally. I mentioned it after the Huddersfield game that he looked absolutely knackered halfway through the second half, yet due to injuries we couldn’t afford the luxury of resting him at any point. He used to get through a lot of work up and down the right. Was only a matter of time

Have a read of the list I added earlier and it might put some perspective on who or what to blame.

We were lucky to be ahead in a major semi-final in arguably the easiest cup run we've ever had, had beaten a ***** Millwall, had scraped past an awful Huddersfield, got shown up by Coventry and had thrown away a match against Rotherham.

I won't pretend I didn't still believe when we'd beaten Millwall, but the warning signs were already there before Hugill needlessly shoved Jones over at 0-0.

He's not the deciding factor in our season.
