Disappointing not to win but lots and lots of positives

First off yes we prob should have won but that said in those conditions and conceding early I’d have took the point.

But as for the performance I thought we were really good in and out of possession creating multiple chances that sadly we just couldn’t finish them.

Great finish from choirs and refit as well to mcgree who put a shift in and did test the keeper.

So all in all disappointing but that other best we’ve played in a long long time.

Onto Blackpool

Very encouraging, more than the win in the last game ironically.

The thing for me is the team is looking better game by game, which suggests the coaching is beginning to work.

Plus, the the football is good to watch, the players are obviously encouraged to get in the ball and play, but there's still a good tempo to it post too.

I left feeling positive today. I think we have a good keeper. I think the centre backs are building a good relationship and looking strong. Giles is quality and will get better as the team improves Hackney is a real find and links so well with Howson. McGree looked a player today. Akpom is a revelation and Forsee worked his socks off. Strange that Crooks rather than Muniz came on as centre forward? The elephant in the room is the right hand side. Hopefully Carrick will have a quality right back and right winger lined up but definitely improvements today.

I was entertained, play was positive we were looking to get on the front foot. Their best player was their keeper, but they weren’t negative they will be pleased with the way they played

On most other days you would expect to win that game. It’s early days under the new era but the signs are positive so far.
