Do you like the people you sit near at the match?

Guys sat behind me have been going since 95 like us so lots of chat and nice banter.

I’ve had various people sitting next to me. I often hug people when we score but this season nobody is sat next to me. Unsure why 😂

The club rang me yesterday as people who sit next to my dad are concerned about him as he’s not been for awhile. I got there email address so can update them. Was a really thoughtful gesture. UTB.

Spot on that

Same faces for donkeys years, unless we play a big game and the part timers turn up which is a sign we are doing well. I miss a particular shouty guy, I guess he must of had enough (I hope he is well anyway), he was never offensively abusive but created a bit of a passionate atmos at times.

I'm thinking of moving to the West Stand Upper centre if I can get a seat I like the game view from.

There was a guy who sat a few places along from me right from when the Riverside opened who got himself into such a state that I sometimes seriously had concerns for his health. We were only on nodding terms, usually as he had to pass me on his way out five minutes before the end. Then suddenly he disappeared completely. I bumped into him many years later at an away game. He'd given up going regularly but turned out to be one of the calmest, nicest blokes you could wish to meet.

I suppose it happens in a lot fans Capy. The sudden release of anger or joy. Strange what a football match can do to you. I`M OK THOUGH 😵‍💫🥴🤯

People around us are all pretty sound (they might disagree mind) but there is one miserable get that sits on the end of the row that looks like you've pi$$ed in his chips every time that anyone needs to enter or exit the row! Just move seats man!!!!

I do feel a bit sorry for the handful of people who sit around me at the moment, with how bad the home matches are.

There's a lot more swearing from me than there used to be, I can't help myself at the minute though.

The fan equivalent of white line fever.

Turnstile fever?

Decent folk near me, SW Upper. Mind you, a couple of lads leave for the concourse dead on 25 minutes and return on 55 minutes, then leave on 80 minutes, you can set your watch by them...
and they travel from Derby for the privilege!
FYI, it's not me.

Nice crew sat around me generally.

There's one kid/young man who sits a few rows back who shouts "shoot" every time a Boro player is facing the goal anywhere in the final third; he doesn't mean it, it's just an immature attempt at craic, but if that's the worst I've got put up with, I guess things are pretty good.

Not had an S/T since 2007 but always try and go back to the same seat in Block 18 - people there are great.

Same I see a steady decline into watching the match like I did when I was 20 years old recently 🫣

Just scrolling the thread to see if anyone has said that match day experience has improved due the fact I’ve stopped going.

(Block, row and seat number withheld ).

About the only thing I miss from the game is chatting to a few people around me (and the mint when we scored. I’ve not missed a lot of mints this year)

I was a proper clappy overly optimistic supporter when I was 20, used to applaud even the worst attempts at shots.

Never understood how people could be so negative.

A decade later and I'm screaming "what the actual **** was that?!" at Silvera's shot going backwards and out for a throw-in.

I was the opposite - mostly full of ale and on the edge of pure joy or sever depression depending on our result/ or even on field decisions!

Finally calmed down over the years watching us, but I feel I'm getting grumpier and grumpier going to the games again!

I sit next to a guy who is really grumpy - is it you or are you really Johnny Loperamide?
