Do you talk to your dog?

I talk to our cat, guinea pigs and hamster. More so over the last year as I've been home alone when the wife (a teacher) and kids are at school.

I see normality has returned to this forum :) I talk to my cat and she hears every word!

Talk to both cats and the DSH is very chatty back, he has a massive repertoire of chirrups, purrs and meows and we understand each other completely. The BSH rarely chats with me though, she thinks I'm an idiot

Absolutely. We have a very sociable dog and a Persian cat which is very chatty. Both speak different lingos, though. Cat needs more comms with the eyes and a lot less rubbing (except under the chin), dog's more into leaning-in and bopping you with the nose, cat much more into nudging you with her bonce. Get shouted at off the cat a lot more, bit more demanding regarding door opening etc. I know my place with the cat, other way round with the dog.

Get more sense out of the pair of them than most humans, tbf

You do realise that, post chat, DSH says to BSH "your suspicions are confirmed."
