Does anyone else wonder where the time has gone?

My wife reminded me last night that my next birthday later this year is my 60th

Got me thinking how fast the time goes by. When I was younger I thought of 60 as being really old, but now I am approaching it I don't think I feel any differently to when I was in my 20s and 30s (although my ageing body and joints might disagree!).

I'm now trying not to dwell on the fact that I have probably had 80% of my life already :ROFLMAO::unsure:

When you're young, the days and years pass so slowly. Then it happens from nowhere, suddenly time has gone into hyperspeed and its 30 years later.

It's my 30th later this year and I feel the same about it going so quick. 😅

Everyone else I know turning 30 seems to like to make a big deal about it, feeling old etc, it doesn't really cross my mind. Much prefer how I am now at 29 than when I was 19.

You spend more time looking back, than looking forward.
Which makes sense, proportionately.
I've never quite understood this image of passing through time. I've always imagined that because I can conjure an image of what happened yesterday as easily as I can a day when I was ten, so I can see all the past but can't create an image of tomorrow I must be moving into the future backwards. It's where I fell off Rudolf Laban's teachings, otherwise one of my favourites.

Time didn't seem to move particularly fast until I had my daughter, who will be 3 in a couple of months - that's what gets me, as it doesn't seem like yesterday we were in the hospital having her.

I'm sure I'll blink again and she'll be going to school, Uni, leaving home etc

I find it so weird how I can vividly picture Jaime Moreno’s unremarkable equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Ayresome v Barnsley 29 years ago, but I can’t remember our goal at Ipswich on Saturday without watching it back.
