Does anyone know where a kingfisher hangs out?

Last one I saw was at Greatham beck between Greatham and the East Coast line.

Seems like there are not as rare as i thought.

They're not that rare
This is from a lake near Topcliffe

And this from just down the road near East Harlsey

I've seen the one at East Harlsey since I took that photo - it flew past me when I was down there in November but I don't know if the other one is still about.

Quite common in Upper Swaledale along the river in the Richmond - Catterick area and on the River Ure in Wensleydale around Middleham or Spennithorne

Not the easiest bird to photo - impossible in flight - and even when they land, unless they're actively fishing and perched over the water, very tricky to spot in bankside shrubs and trees - despite their colouration

It'll be the Woodland Park. I've seen a few flitting about while walking my dog there, a tiny flash of blue amongst the reeds. A few years since I've seen one though. It's where the beck runs away from the hill and back to the path where I saw them. There's a little dam thing.
I saw one last Yr along billingham beck.
I kayaked from Neasham to Preston Park a few yrs ago, saw an otter & lots of kingfishers along the route
