Doesn’t look like it’s going to be a sell out on Monday

You don't even need to leave Teesside.

I know plenty of Leeds fans in Redcar.

A guy I went to school with was a Leeds fan.
You could say the same for any friend, colleague or acquaintance that supports a team that isn't a Boro fan.

I also work in Tadacaster a suburb of Leeds (of sorts) and there's no interest in Boro from the locals here either. I'm not fussed either way, doesn't bother me if they think there's a rivalry or not but it's just not a big game for them in isolation.

Parts of what is now considered Teesside were not in the old Borough of Teesside (1968-1974). Places like Guisborough were 100% North Yorkshire.

People born in the early 1960s saw the Revie Days @ Leeds - he made Leeds very hard to beat - Charlton, Hunter, Madeley, Cooper, Bremner, Yorath, Giles, Lorimer, Clark, Jones, Gray - The Club was well marketed as Yorkshire's team with flashy kit - young kids were happy to be associated with them. They are now fans in their 60s.

South stand just about sold out with 60 remaining. They'll sell tonight.

Probably 1000-1500 left stadium wide so might touch 31k tonight. Great effort for a dead rubber game on a Monday night. It shows that Boro v Leeds is a big one for the Boro fans.

It certainly is tonight….

I don't know if I can watch it, I would be fine if I was at the stadium I would be able to spend the entire match abusing Leeds, but in front of a screen I get butterflies and feel sick at the thought of losing to them and it overrides any joy i might get from the thought of winning against them

Spare a thought for me having to go into the office tomorrow. I would usually have scheduled a day away but i've got meetings i can't escape. If we win i'm coming into the office in my Boro shirt.

Yes selling steadily today.
Hard to predict the final crowd. We had a 'sellout' v Sunderland at 31.7k.

My mate is on Facebook complaining that the club wouldn't let him buy a ticket for the game tonight because he doesn't have enough priority points.

I thought the rule was you have to have a purchase history?

Seating plan is the same as it was for the match against Leicester.

If the unavailable seating online is accurate, the number sold for tonight is already higher than the 30,042 for Leicester's visit.

If you've bought a ticket in the last 2 years then you'll have a minimum of 3 priority points. Providing you've assigned the ticket to yourself. This is often where people make a mistake and don't assign the tickets to their account.

I'm sure he's been to games in the last two years so this is probably what's happened.

Someone has replied and said they have an account and he can use their name but he said he's just going to watch it on tele now.

Our crowds dropped gradually after our chances of the play-offs declined, but we've had some excellent gates this season, in spite of the poor start. I wonder if we can equal or beat the 32,097 attendance v Chelsea? Two Yorkshire sides going at it. I'm certain Carrick will treat it competitively, it's in his nature, his character.

Bring em on!

It doesn't feel like a big game to me to be honest.

I'm probably in the minority but I'm not particularly bothered about Leeds. I don't dislike them like I do Sunderland and Newcastle.

It's obviously a massive game for them though and it should be a great atmosphere, so I am looking forward to it.
Sunderland and Newcastle are bigger games for most Boro fans. I think for the older generation Leeds is a big game but not for all. Everyone will have a team they don't like outside of the 2 north east teams, mine is Forest, fans are arrogant and deluded.
