Not often you hear of a death in this country on building sites of this high profile

The same firm - Laing O’Rourke - had a double fatality (father and son) just a mile or two away in 2021.

Thats absolutely appaling people shouldn't be dying in uk construction.

And yet they still do. Construction has the highest death toll in any industry in the UK. Until companies and their bosses are held accountable it will never change.

I think they may have done explaining to do in that case and hopefully someone is accountable so these accidents can stop happening. Nobody in this country (or any) should go to work and not come back (unless on the front line).
