Eating in Newcastle...

I’m a big fan of El Coto, it’s a tapas restaurant. Not too far from the stadium.

Hannah Hannah is also good. Japanese restaurant where you are sat round the hot plate and food is cooked in front on you. You basically get lots of small courses. I.e 5/6 small bowls of food.

I’m assuming they’re both still there. Haven’t been up for 2 years so covid could have got them.

You beat me to it. 😜

El Coto has always been a favourite, I think it’s the same people as El Torero on the way down to quayside which is tasty also.

Nudo on Low Friar Street is fantastic, great Asian food. Always try to have a Nudo and one of those Tapas places when back.

Not been for a few years due to moving away but Mannaza Korean and Taste of Persia were always good.

Longhorns bbq is really good if you are into your meat

I’ll be honest, me and the missus weren’t too fussed when we visited, it had been recommended to us too. It was a good few years ago though and we had just returned from Florida and top class bbq food so our expectations might have been higher than normal! Might give it another go when I’m next home.

Sounds similar to what I would have ordered, like I said it was years ago and I don’t think it had been open long so it probably deserves a second chance. It’s hard to compete when compared with food from the country that specialises in it!

I suppose it rather depends on what you mean by "quality feed".

For quality I would recommend Hibou Blanc, Dobson & Parnell or The French Quarter and of course House of Tides for Michelin star quality.

If you happy to go slightly outside the city centre, there is a great little Italian called Mascalzone in Sandyford.

If you like Indian food, Dabbawal is decent.

Or get out to Tynemouth and go to the fish shack.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but if you could recommend places to eat and drink in Leeds I'd appreciate it; preferably near the 02 Academy.
