EFL & DCFC supporters clubs’ latest meeting

El Guapo: Don’t tease a lass with European Glory.🏆🤣 Nearest we’re gonna get is charging up the stairs to a delightful lil European restaurant opposite Derby Cathedral being enticed by the delish aromas getting closer.
Nom Nom!😛😘

Back to the subject - it was said repeatedly after last Friday’s settlement with Sir Gibbo that Admins expected to be able to name the preferred bidder “within the next 10 working days”
These announcements do tend to come out on a Friday, so I shall be glued to t’internet and radio on the 25th, with my butterflies in me belly.
I don’t trust these Admins blokes tbh.
We shall see…….

What do you reckon?

I think they are stringing you along. No mention there of HMRC. Surely if their battle with Rangers showed anything it is that HMRC cannot compromise.

I think Derby will get further loans of funds to the end of the season and then get sold.

I hope you get sorted sooner than later, Morris is the ‘crook’ so to speak. What he has done to your club is scandalous, and feel for you as supporters (even though some of you haven’t exactly covered yourselves in glory either). I think he continues to float around in the background tbh and I think he and the admins (who are milking the situation for all they can) have unfairly painted Gibbo and Boro as the bad guys when all we really did was point out the rule breaking and failure of EFL to apply its own rules. I don’t believe Gibbo was really after money and certainly wouldn’t want your club liquidated (remember he helped pick up the pieces of our brush with death so knows all about it) rather he wants the rules upholding for the benefit of all clubs (yours included) and has therefore pushed for that to happen in the interests of fair play for all. I remember the hurt of what happened to Boro in 86, awful, awful times, and I believe Gibbo does too and is one of the few owners who genuinely sees a club as a flagship representative of the people of the town / city they are in and doesn’t want other clubs / towns to go through what we did (through bad chair / management) and what your have at the hands of a conman.

Also, I have to say, while I think you deserved relegating for systematically cheating FFP (as I believe any club, us included, should be for such flagrant acts) I have a huge amount of respect for what Rooney, Rosenior and your players have done so far in their efforts to stay up. I think I would (begrudgingly) be respectful and admiring of the effort if they managed to stay up. Almost. (I’ve no doubt some of your fans would use it further as a stick to beat us with which would be annoying)

Edit: PS. You should also pay off all your debts in full, especially HMRC, that’s public money not yours / Morris’s.

I don't get how Derby fans are so worked up about having a transfer embargo. They've got a massive unpaid tax bill, surely that has to be paid off before they start arriving players and committing to additional wages?

"For the remainder of this season and for the next two seasons the club will need to work within an agreed business plan which includes the EFL approving all player registrations during that period. If the preferred bidder's proposal is that 35p in £1 be paid to creditors over a three-year period (rather than 25p in the £1 to unsecured creditors now), the business plan and EFL monitoring will cover the next three seasons"

Paying out more new money while not paying off the old debts? That stinks.
