Not sure EIOs have ever really worked in the all seater Riverside. I know they happen of course but so much better on the Holgate.

There were a couple at Port Vale on Tuesday. And I did one at the U21s down at Aldershot on Monday but got a few funny looks.
 
The North Stand used to love a good EIO over the years, especially in big games. It always looked great when you were sat in other areas of the ground seeing the whole of the North bouncing.
 
It was a South Terrace and Seats who originally got it going at AP not the Holgate, and even a little while around 86/87 they used to do that moving side to side in the seats so you had whole rows in the block at the end of the South Terrace moving from side to side at different times from each other, it looked very impressive, I have seen Dutch fans do something very similar at the old Wembley in the early 90's.

The after goal celebration in the South stand has been replaced by that absolute sh!te " ooh ar ya", the one that every brainless moron does at every other club.
EIO's were class in the Holgate not as good in all seaters, but still very good and fairly unique to us.
