Amazes me how many times Everton flirt with and escape relegation.

It's not actually as many times as you would think barring the last couple of years. From 2005 - 2021 their lowest position was 12th and most of those years they were top half.

Yup. Basically the last two years and that's it. This season they would have been comfortably mid-table without the points deductions.
