I think that looking at the squad, based on form and potential, I think we have 5 players to build the team around:
Dieng
Rav VDB (as a centre half)
Hackney
McGree
Rogers (I think his ceiling is very high and we are still scratching the service)
I'm not totally convinced by Bangura and Engel, so would be tempted to play O'brien at left back - particularly at home.
Dijksteel or Smith at right back is a toss of a coin
Lenihan to partner Rav (primarily as he can play left side more comfortably than Dael)
Howson to play centrally with Hackney (with Barlaser and O'brien being used regularly to save legs)
Jones or Forss on the right (but I do think we need an upgrade here)
Rogers as 10 (Crooks as a late substitute to get us over the line/change shape)
McGree on the left (with Greenwood and Silvera as bench options)
Coburn or Latte Lath (Josh has the shirt and has got a couple of goals but I think we need reinforcements up front)
We obviously have Lenihan and Smith out all season so Fry/Clarke/McNair and Dijksteel would start but the squad isn't a million miles away from top 6. Unfortunately it will be another 2-4 weeks before we have the bulk available (McGree, O'brien, Dieng, Hackney, Forss etc)
I think we need to bring in a RB, RW and CF during January!
