Exeter away - Ticket info

Is it still a maximum of 6 tickets per person for Exeter fmttmadmin. There six of us going and I don't want to go on Monday and find out its been reduced to 4 or something because of the small number we have been given.

Think the club should look at setting up an away ticket priority system by region. Would also improve the clubs carbon footprint as be reduced travel for the fans attending games. As think issue people are having with current priority system is you've got to have a season ticket to get anywhere. Feel for the fans in the South West who attend the Bristol, , Cardiff, Swansea and now Plymouth games every season but they never get any priority and will probaly miss out on this game on their doorstep
Are you serious? Look around you and listen carefully next away game and you will see/hear that a decent percentage of away fans are local to that area. Tell tale signs are accents - people pointing and shouting and chanting at work colleagues, friends and families in the opposition ends.
There will be loads of south west Boro fans at Plymouth and Exeter - they will find a way. They always do.

It was actually far more complex to work out than a league game precisely because the money has to be divided three ways, between the clubs and the EFL. This came out of an honest intention from the football club/chairman to want to help fans out with the prospect of two Devon trips in a week. In talks with the forum we all agreed doing the easy thing - provided discounted club travel would only help those on coaches, no one else. We all wanted to explore a way whereby all fans got the benefit. This was not straight forward. It took a couple of weeks to work out the mechanics behind it.
Everyone involved wanted a way of helping ALL Boro fans going to this match.
But as stated this could have unintended consequences, such as people purchasing just for the priority points.

I can't go to Exeter, just thought id come on this thread to see how long it took for the usual protagonists to find a way to twist the narrative - One and a half pages!! As a fan base we are unbelievable sometimes!
We've won a few games, so they need something to have ago at

People are just pointing out what is inevitably going to happen. If you want to twist that as people moaning then that’s your issue.

Makes zero difference to me, I can get tickets to any Boro game I want. I’m just pointing out that it’s unintentionally made it harder for those in the south-west to get tickets.

If it wasn’t pointed out now the narrative afterwards would be “nobody could have seen that happening, you said nothing at the time, it’s easy saying this in hindsight”

Well the fans in the South West won't get any benefit ...... just the usual suspects who get to every game anyway.

We all know the only ones Gibson cares about are season card holders, which as I've said before is fine - it's his club and he can do whatever he wants. Just don't try and spin "gestures" such as this as caring about all fans because it's not - it's caring for his core support

There were over 1,250 fans with 180+ on the 21st of September.

There have been a number of away matches since then, so I expect that number will be higher now.

If every one of those fans wants to go, it's not going to be available for the next window.
But I doubt every 180+ fan will be going.

It's a least a day off work, possibly two, even if you do it on the cheap with official travel.
That has to limit demand.

My opportunity came up to buy, I had a look around at tickets available. I think a lot of South West Boro fans will be disappointed, I was going to leave it until this afternoon I think I would have missed out if I had.

I take it you mean opportunity to buy in the Exeter end - as the tickets haven't gone on sale to Boro fans yet.

With all due respect, although I understand your frustration, the majority of our fans are based around the Teesside area so the club have to look at how far those people have to travel for Plymouth and Exeter. I'm always critical of our ticket pricing but this is a step in the right direction so fair play to the club 👏.

I did have a problem with the ticket pricing because I thought it would ensure that for the majority of South West Supporters it would mean no entry because of the demand for them arising in the north with people who have a big priority bonus already acquired., these two games coming up are very special occasions for the South West Supporters, and while many do not go to every game or even a lot of games, they do spend on merchandise who also pass the on the addiction for the club to their family and friends and this helps keep the club have a profile in a more remote part of the uk.
When I was with MSS, the club realised it was important for the club to have a profile in the South , I hope the club realises that an aspect of a growing club is having good interaction with the various regional supporter clubs, the Mackems do with theirs and you can see it in the various organised travelling of regional based clubs, sometimes it causes Wearside based Mackems who have loads of points to sit out their dummies when the branches get access to highly sought after tickets.
I wish Rob could make a case for the club reserving at least 50-100 tickets for South West fans, through Facebook and other means we are are known to each other, the organisers live in Plymouth and do go to every home match, they could be a focal point for a distribution of a side run of tickets to SW Boro, from that point of view it would be fair and the pricing would be great for a wider supporting base of Boro fans.
