You talk as if the technology is infallible. Just today we have five contentious issues from two games. The technology was supposed to put an end to it. It’s made things worse than ever.Using camera position knowledge and algorithms, var does not require cameras to be in line to accurately draw lines. It can see the pitch dimension, and with a bit of computer aided maths can draw the lines…..a human lino does need to be in line of course and often fails to be, so this is why var is better at offside decisions. Now if they’d grow a pair and automate it we can move on to discussions about how best to use var for penalty and handball decisions which is more open to debate
