Very good

out today. All episodes, Amazon prime

good position for a video game conversion as the games are open world and characters are custom so they can tell their own story without having to stick to storylines, but lean on what is familiar from the games

I'm absolutely loving it.
Up to episode 5.

It's one where I'm not sure if I'd like it anywhere near as much if I hadn't played the game, because so much of my enjoyment is coming from nostalgia and being impressed with how well they've captured the game, but I think it's brilliant.

Started watching it last night having never played the game - still very much worth giving it a whirl even if you might not get some of the nods and references to the game

Ahhh I forgot about this. Love all of the fallout games, so hope this is a good series

I've never heard of the game but have watched the first 2 episodes. Some amusing moments and some good fight scenes. Gonna give it a go.

On the last episode

Some outright disgusting Spitting out cysts, dark and funny moments Want to make my penis explode in Vault 4

Think it`s a great watch imo

okie dokie (y)

Watched the first episode tonight, haven’t played the games.

I was enjoying the Lucy part but I felt like I didn’t know what was happening through the Maximus stuff. Feels like it’s aimed more towards those who played the games, which is fair enough.

Is it based on a particular game? Is there a main character as such?

It's just set in the same world, with the same concepts and organisations.

None of the characters themselves are from the games, and most of the story is entirely new beyond the basics of how the nuclear apocalypse came about and the vaults.

I'm not sure if you ever played Elder Scrolls (Oblivion, Skyrim etc)?
But they're that sort of game, where you create your own character and play how you want to following the main story of each game.

As above it's set in the fallout world but it's not a linear game. It's got strong aesthetic from the games, and factions are the same - for example the brotherhood are in the games (the iron suits), vaults are in the games, there are towns like in the games etc but the storyline itself is new. Playing the game then watching fallout will make it seem similar, and the reverse is true but they're also independent. My girlfriend has never heard of it and she loved the series

Ahh right, that makes more sense now. Feel like I can watch the rest of the series without thinking I’m out of the loop.

I actually bought Fallout 4 years ago, started it but probably didn’t even play for more than an hour. Not really my type of game but I do like the premise.
