A feast of music making for all the family is on the bill at Middlesbrough Town Hall this Friday (August 19).
The free Family Festival from 11am to 3pm is a chance to get stuck in with workshops, sing- and play-alongs and a classical concert.
There’s a chance to create your own percussion instruments from recycling, learn song-writing and join in under-fives music making and big family drumming sessions.
At lunchtime, those taking part are invited to bring their own picnic and enjoy a lunchtime concert of classical favourites by the wonderful Borealis Orchestra.
Young people will also be able to complete their Arts Award Discover, a certificate awarded by Trinity College London.
