I have repeatedly set the ‘stop notification emails from all threads’ and am told that my selection has been updated but I am still getting notification emails. Can you sort this for me please so I don’t get email notification emails? Thanks

You still have some watched threads from before you changed the notifications to off. You need to identify these threads and unwatch them manually. Then the emails stop.
 
Ok cheers. I wasn’t aware I was watching any, thought I’d uneatched. Will do that and see how we go. Thanks
 
By default when you first log in it sets any threads you read as watched. Up until you switch off notifications. Then these threads are left hanging. With notifications left as switched on for those threads.

I think an improvement would be to default this setting to off on account creation.
 
I’ve changed my setting to stop watching all threads but have just received a new reply to watched thread containing spanishman’s last contribution.........not sure why? It isn’t a massive issue I suppose but as I didn’t have a personal email (thanks Virgin media!) I had to use my work email to register, don’t teally want she’d loads of watched thread email notifications coming in to it all the time. Maybe, this last one was because I started the thread? Thanks for the suggestions thus far, will continue to monitor it and see how it goes. Cheers
 
It worked for me quite quickly. I am not sure. However I seem to remember you have to switch them off for different situations in settings. I will try to do a screenshot of it now.
 
Just been notified of your reply again and thread is now showing as watched again (at top of thread)
 
Have checked my watched threads list and it is now empty apart from this one so it seems to have worked for the others. Therefore ot must be something to do with the fact I’m posting on this thread (any thread), but just because I post Dorset mean I want to watch....., this link needs decoupling if possible?
 
Yeah, I’ve inwatched all threads and as said above they’ve all gone from my watched threads list, apart from this one which has re-appeared...,,
 
Works for me so far. Never had another notification. Did you check watched forums is switched off as well?
 
Yep, re done it and it tells me I’m not watching any threads but I’ve just received notification emails for all of your replies.....?
 
BTW - if admin people are watching. As mentioned before. There is an adverts bug with the adblock plus browser. The site is whitelisted. However as you can see I am getting broken advert links.
 
I just deleted one of them as I put in a duplicate screenshot.

With a thread refresh in my browser I can see everything ok on this thread.
