I always class my first Boro Match as the 6-1 win over Derby, but I went to a testimonial which I think was before that.
I can’t remember anything else about it other than I sat in the east stand and I think John Hendrie came on as a sub.

any idea whose testimonial it was and who it was against? It’s been bugging me for ages. Cheers @Erimus74

Can't remember any other testimonials.at the Riverside ?? Clayton Blackmore had one but that was at Ayresome Park...
We had quite a few preseason friendlies against foreign opposition that were quite well attended in those days. Could it have been one of them ?

Chris Morris had one I 1998, at home to Forest, we lost that 5-0 I think
