Col, many thanks. Just to make things absolutely 100% clear, any criticism I have made is of playing ability - colour of their skin never- repeat never- comes into the equation. To be branded racist - and reported as such sickened me to the core. Why? Because I abhor racism. It has taken virtually a week for me to start and post.

I have been on this board for 13 plus years and no one can point to me being racist - apart from one sneaky anonymous git - don’t ever think of being a detective as a profession.

The saddest part of this episode was the way admin dealt with this. A private email could have stopped all the nonsense last Saturday night- totally unnecessary.

Presently I feel it will be quite a while till I post as enthusiastically and regularly as I have done.

I would never profess to be the most universal popular poster on here- I do post from the heart and opinions are not always universally agreed. To me this helps the board and opens it up to healthy debate covering a plethora of matters. If the board loses this it loses a great deal of its identity- and that would be a shame.
 
Don't know what I have missed regarding Nosmo.

I'm sure he has had plenty of run ins with many on here over the years.
I would acknowledge that he has opinions and sticks by his beliefs and maybe hard to budge like most, but racist ?

Please keep posting Nosmo. Different opinions are what make this board so compelling. Politics is a divisive issue but one thing we all have in common is our love of the Boro. I can spot a racist from a mile away but you are NOT one.

I prefer to deal with stuff openly, for better or for worse. I'm a blunt weapon, or tool if you prefer. What I would say to you is that we all have to be open to questioning. If someone reports something, we look at it. Don't bleat too much to me though as I have been, at one time or another, Bad Dad, Hitler, Stalin and, on COB, someone with a sexual interest in his niece.

This is spot on. The concept that you were picking on black players with your negative comments was way off. Down the years I cannot really recall you posting anything remotely positive about any aspect of Middlesbrough Football Club. Anyone truly observing your 'posting habits' would have you down as a miserable b***r NOT a rascist. (y) :giggle:

Well said Nosmo, I stand shoulder to shoulder with you on this post. Whoever felt the need to report you needs re-educating, a ridiculous drive to be seen as woke catches up with some numpties (I am trying to be polite). I feel like saying so much more about this but unfortunately the opportunity to speak freely (and within the law) is a thing of the past. Perception trumps reality these days.

Nice to see you post again Nosmo, hope you are back in the saddle soon and posting frequently, your thoughts and opinions are valued by decent posters, whether they are agreed with or not 👍

In fairness, the way the club has been run, the errors financially resulting in us being so unattractive we couldn’t get new ownership if we wanted, gives plenty of ammo to have a pop. And I make no apology for this. You will never progress if you don’t look to learn from mistakes.

From a club that fought its way to the final in the second biggest Euro club tournament to now struggle to get free transfer players to jump at the chance to join us. Pretty damning in anyone’s book.

You were certainly a bit of a tool last weekend, until you turned all Piers Morgan and locked the criticism of you down.

Keep posting Nosmo. You can be a bit of a tool as well, but not a racist tool.

Agree with this - there's two or three people who are very keen to aggressively throw the "you're a racist / you're part of the problem" card if you don't agree entirely with their views on BLM, talking a knee etc.

You're welcome Nosmo. To be honest although I've been a ST holder for over 45 years my 'involvement' is, and always has been, at an emotional level. Following Boro allows me to access emotions that I would not otherwise feel (probably get me sectioned in normal life :) ). By their very nature those moments come along rarely and the low points only serve to accentuate the highs. Beyond that I tend to accept that other stuff that goes on in the club is none of my business, although I do have a view. But I fully understand others feel more strongly.

Perhaps you'd better define what are "admin matters" so none of us get ideas above our stations and say something we shouldn't?
