Luke Daniesl & William Kokolo are registerred No's 969 & 970 respectivelly, when they made their debuts last night

Luke Daniels became our 72nd different GK to play for the Boro 1st team
A few have returned to the club at a later date, Stephen Pears, Andy Dibble & Gary Walsh, add to that Brian Orritt an outfield player who was the 1st sub keeper when replacing injured Bob Appelby v Charlton at home 1965, Peter Brine replacing injured Jim Platt at Sunderland in a league cup fixture in 1977 & Colin Cooper, standing in for Stephen Pears for 20 plus minutes while he received stitches at home to Villa, Feb 1988

As mentioned before, me & Shaun, after a time when former players returned to the club will show our listed numbers change, not sure how the club would record such data, or in fact, how they would play it out, I base mine on a new player given a registration number, regardless of a new or returned player

Thanks Erimus. Just finished work and seen this.
30 to go until 1000 then!!
What do you reckon - about 4/5/6 seasons?
Is Shaun higher or lower than you?

Technically were over the 1000 mark now with all the players who played in the FA Cup for us between 1882 and 1899. We'll gloss over that bit!
True @shaun71, good point, do we go from the beginning, or from 1899?

Will our 1st ever goalscorer Jackson Ewbank become one of our 1st registered players after playing in our 1st ever, recorded, football game

Are there records of players who played in all our games before we joined the football league?

Not 100% complete but pretty much there mate.

Ive only included players who have played in a competitive match for us (league and cups), so I wouldn't include all the players who played Northern League / non league / friendlies for us between 1876 and 1899. Its just that theres a host of players who did play for us in the FA Cup in that time though.
