Favourite Boro goal at Ayresome Park

This one CTC, one of my favourites too its how great forwards score plenty of goals....one touch

Foggon in the Peterborough Utd cup replay on a Tuesday night... Armstrong corner ...Foggon knelt down pretending to tie his boot, Armstrong brayed it across to the outside of the box shin high and Foggon lashed into the net ...keeper never seen it.

The Derrick Downing diving header v WHU and its famous opposition is another.

But tbh theres absolutely droves once mention.

But Bill Billy Ashcroft 2nd goal (came on as sub IIRC) here was a fantastic finish any forward would love to have scored, what a come back too.

First one that sprung to mind was Alan Moore against Sunderland in 1994 when we were 2 down to a Craig Russell brace. Pearson equalised before Hendrie bottled a 1 on 1 to put us ahead. Can't remember many better atmospheres than that day.

Morning, Erimus. Yes the Oxford game was special, appently, legend has it, the roar when the goals went in could be heard in Nunthorpe!

Re the West Ham game, I always thought it was Hughie McIlmoyle who ran down the right and crossed for Downings diving header! Mind it was a decade or two to remember this from.

Bernie in the ZDS against Villa was sheer brilliance.
Baird's second in the 4-1 newcastle rout was a proper centre forward goal to keep us up AND keep them down.
Hamilton's against Bradford in the play offs was ecstatic.
David Hodgson's third in his hat-trick against Spurs in our 4-1 league win 20th Dec 1980. Craig Johnston got the other. My two favourite players from when I really did think we were going places with them in the side.
